Wat Po – traditional Thai massage school

Any good spa therapist will have undergone their training in traditional Thai massage at the temple school Wat Po. Constructed in a concealed building away from the tourist-infested but peaceful Wat Po temple grounds, the instruction area is more functional than stylish, but the efficient course run by competent instructors more than makes up for the missing luxury. Thai massage, an ancient form of healing, uses pressure application on the various body meridians.
The 30-hour course can be completed in five, six or ten days. Courses available include General Thai Massage, Therapeutic and Healing Massage,
Thai Fundamental Massage Points, Foot Massage Course, Oil Massage and Aromatherapy and Child Massage. The costs for a 30-hour course lie with 8,500 Baht. The courses are carried out daily in the time from 8.00 o’clock to 17.00 o’clock.
